Moondrop CHU III 10 mm Dynamic Driver IEM
Compact earphones shouldn’t mean giving up a metal build or being stuck with a cable you can’t replace. The Moondrop CHU III combines a 10 mm dynamic driver, an aluminium-magnesium composite diaphragm and a zinc alloy shell. It comes in black and silver, with a 3.5 mm jack and a detachable cable.
10 mm dynamic driver
The driver uses a light, stiff aluminium-magnesium composite diaphragm to respond quickly and keep distortion low. The tuning follows Moondrop’s PopAvg-DF (JM-1) target curve, with balanced bass, mids and treble and no reliance on digital processing.
Metal build and acoustic nozzle
The shell is made of zinc alloy, with a finish that protects the surface against corrosion. The CNC-machined brass nozzle is part of the acoustic structure and helps keep the sound path consistent. The compact shape makes them easy to use every day, although comfort also depends on the ear tips you choose.
Detachable 0.78 mm cable
The CHU III uses a 0.78 mm 2-pin connection, so you can replace the cable without replacing the earphones. The included cable ends in a 3.5 mm jack. The connector is the market standard, so it accepts replacement cables and Bluetooth adapters with the same plug. You don’t need to install software or set up sound profiles.
Two colours, same configuration

Who it’s for: Anyone looking for wired IEMs for music, gaming or everyday use, with a metal build and a replaceable cable.
Who it’s not for: Anyone who needs Bluetooth, a direct USB-C connection or a built-in microphone. The CHU III uses a 3.5 mm jack and doesn’t include a microphone.
Honest notes: Passive isolation and bass response depend on how well the ear tips seal in your ear. The included cable does the job but is basic, and some people prefer to swap the ear tips to get the fit right. If you prefer wireless headphones or need voice chat, choose a model with a microphone.
