MonsGeek M1 V5 HE – Magnetic Keyboard 8K Polling and Rapid Trigger 0.005mm

149,90  Inc. VAT

Main Features:

  • Rapid Trigger 0.005mm & Scan Rate 32.000Hz – Actuation and reset in steps of 0.005mm. At 32K scanning, re-action registers before most keyboards have finished processing the initial press.
  • Polling Rate 8,000Hz – Wired and 2.4GHz Wireless – Full 8K on both connections. No latency penalty for playing wirelessly.
  • Snap Key (SOCD) – The latest directional input always takes priority. Clean, predictable counter-strafing in CS2 and Valorant without ambiguous outputs.
  • Akko AstroAim Switches – Cross-Compatible – Linear pre-lubricated, 35gf, deep and serious acoustics. Swaps with any third-party N-pole magnetic switch, key by key, without changing keyboards.
  • Arm Cortex-M4 + 15 Dedicated Logic ICs – Auxiliary tasks delegated outside the MCU to keep TProcessing stable under sustained burst input at 32K scanning.

MonsGeek M1 V5 HE – Magnetic Keyboard 8K Polling and Rapid Trigger 0.005mm

The MonsGeek M1 V5 HE is a 75% aluminum keyboard with gasket mount structure, built exclusively for magnetic switches. It ships with Akko AstroAim linear switches and is aimed at competitive players who need Rapid Trigger accuracy below 0.01mm – available in wired and wireless mode, with no polling rate penalty.

Rapid Trigger & Scan Rate Architecture

Trigger and reset points are independently configurable in 0.005mm steps over the full 3.5mm of travel – the finest RT resolution available in this price segment. At a scan rate of 32,000Hz, even a 0.1mm elevation is resolved in multiple scanning cycles, which makes the 0.005mm RT stable rather than erratic. To sustain this without adding processing latency, 15 dedicated logic ICs offload auxiliary tasks from the Arm Cortex-M4 MCU – the architecture that separates this implementation from cheaper 32K alternatives that create bottlenecks under burst input.

RT Stabilizer mode filters out unintentional actuations caused by involuntary hand tremors at sensitivities below 0.01mm, without affecting intentional inputs.

8K Polling Rate – Wired and 2.4GHz Wireless

8,000Hz polling is active on both USB-C and 2.4GHz wireless. Bluetooth drops to 125Hz and is intended for switching between devices (up to 3 via Fn+E/R/T), not for competitive sessions. Wireless polling at 8K at this price point is unusual – most Hall Effect keyboards still limit wireless to 1K.

Snap Key, Mod-Tap & Toggle Key

Snap Key is MonsGeek’s implementation of SOCD: the most recently pressed directional input always has priority, allowing for clean counter-strokes in CS2 and Valorant without ambiguity. Mod-Tap adds dual-function keys (tap vs. hold), and Toggle Key turns any key into a persistent on/off switch – useful for crouch-toggle or push-to-talk.

Akko AstroAim Switches & Cross-Compatibility

Linear, factory pre-lubricated, 35gf initial force, 3.5mm travel. The POM stem and PA66 housing produce a deeper, more bassy sound than most Hall Effect switches – noticeably less hollow. The chassis accepts any N-pole downward-facing magnetic switch from third-party brands, with per-key mixing and automatic calibration via MonsGeek Driver.

Construction & Acoustics

Gasket mount with PORON plate foam and IXPE switch pads for a damped bottom-out. The stabilizer wires are demagnetized to avoid interference with the magnetic field – a relevant detail on larger keys, where a standard stabilizer wire would cause inconsistent performance readings. The ball-catch quick-release system opens the case without tools.

Founder’s Take

The M1 V5 HE reaches 0.005mm RT at a price with no direct equivalent on the market. The 32K scan rate is the right architecture to back up this claim; without offloading via ICs, 32K would generate overhead that would negate the gain in precision. The AstroAim switch answers the main reason why gamers abandon Hall Effect keyboards: the acoustics. Which is sublime. Wireless polling at 8K makes this one of the most complete competitive wireless keyboards in our catalog.

Note: no QMK or VIA – just MonsGeek Driver. Irrelevant for those who set the RT and play. Relevant for those who need deep layout remapping.

⚠️ Compatibility Notice: Magnetic switches only – MX mechanical switches are NOT supported. For a keyboard that runs magnetic and mechanical switches at the same time, see the MonsGeek M1 V5 TMR.

⚠️ Software Note: Configuration exclusively via MonsGeek Driver (browser-based). QMK and VIA are not supported.
