Very high polling rate and premium-sounding switches are usually hard to get at the same time on a magnetic keyboard. The MCHOSE Ace 68 Turbo tries for both, but with a technical condition worth knowing before you pick a switch.

Up to 16000Hz polling, but only with one of the two switches

The Ace 68 Turbo reaches 16000Hz polling rate with Mount Tai GT switches, the highest in our keyboard catalog. With Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro switches, the cap drops to 8000Hz. It’s not a small detail: if 16K polling is your main reason for choosing this keyboard, you need the Mount Tai GT switch version.

Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro switches: sound and stroke

The Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro switches are an evolution of the original Jade, with a sealed base that gives a fuller, deeper sound (what the community calls “thocky”) and a smooth linear stroke. Combined with the solid aluminum case, typing and clicks sound solid and free of extra vibration.

Hall Effect sensor and adjustable Rapid Trigger

The dual-core MCU and new-generation Hall Effect sensor give 0.001mm reading precision, with Rapid Trigger adjustable between 0.1mm and 3.4mm. In practice, you tune actuation sensitivity per game: lighter for fast strafing in FPS, deeper if you prefer resistance while typing. Configuration happens through a web driver, no heavy software to install.

Solid aluminum case, full CNC structure

The case is solid aluminum, with electrophoresis or powder-coated finish depending on color. The plate is aluminum with multi-layer foam, over a 4-layer PCB. The resulting weight, 1361g, is higher than plastic-case keyboards, but it’s what delivers the rigidity and vibration-free sound the CNC build promises.

Team opinion

The Ace 68 Turbo is one of the team’s favorite keyboards in this price range (around €100-150): the feel is excellent, from the features to the sound and the everyday experience.

It has a knob on the left side with quite an interesting touch, which lets you switch between Rapid Trigger profiles without opening the driver. It’s a pretty complete keyboard, and for the price, probably one of our flagships in this range.
