Akko 5108 V5 HE Wireless Magnetic Keyboard
Anyone who works with numbers and games at the same desk needs the numpad, and does not want cables everywhere. The Akko 5108 V5 HE is a full size wireless Hall Effect magnetic keyboard, with 0.001 mm rapid trigger and 8000Hz over cable or through the 2.4 GHz receiver.
Prism switches and rapid trigger
The Prism magnetic switches are linear, with 30 gf at the start of the travel and 55 gf at the bottom. The actuation point goes from 0.1 to 3.4 mm and rapid trigger from 0.001 to 2.5 mm: the key deactivates as soon as it starts to rise and reactivates as soon as it goes down. If you’re still deciding, we explain the difference in Hall Effect vs mechanical.
Polling is 8000Hz over cable and on 2.4 GHz, with a 16K scan rate.
Three connections and a 10000 mAh battery
It connects over USB-C, through the 2.4 GHz receiver or by Bluetooth 5.0. The battery is 10000 mAh; battery life depends mostly on the lighting.
Full size layout and build
It has a function row, navigation cluster and numpad. The case is ABS and the plate is aluminium, gasket mounted.
The keycaps are Cherry profile with shine-through legends, and the ARGB lighting is north and south-facing.
GAMER UNLOCKED TEAM’S TAKE
Who it’s for: Anyone who wants one keyboard for work and games, with a numpad, wireless and with fine rapid trigger. The 8000Hz through the receiver suits competitive players who want to go cable-free.
Who it’s not for: Anyone with little desk space or who plays with wide mouse movements: a full size takes up a lot of room. There are more compact magnetic keyboards.
Honest notes: The 8000Hz is over cable and on 2.4 GHz; Bluetooth is for the laptop or tablet, not for competitive play. The case is ABS, not aluminium.
⚠️ ANSI layout: US (ANSI) layout, with no extra key next to the left Shift. If you type a lot in a European language, read our guide ANSI vs ISO first.
