X-raypad Obsidian Ultra Mouse Skates
On a fast pad, the hard part is stopping your aim in the right place. The X-raypad Obsidian Ultra are universal 6.5 mm dots in hardened PTFE, with a matte texture that adds stopping power without taking away the easy start.
Hardened PTFE and matte texture
The surface is harder than regular PTFE and has a fine matte finish. Together they raise friction in a controlled way: the mouse still gets moving easily, but stops sooner when you stop your hand. It helps with emergency stops and fine adjustments after a flick.
Anti-collapse layer
Under the PTFE there’s a filler layer that stops the dot from compressing under pressure. Contact stays flat across the whole area, and glide vibration and noise go down.
Cloth and glass
The X-raypad Obsidian Ultra work on cloth and glass pads. They’re not suitable for coated or plastic pads. If you’re still deciding on a pad, we explain the differences in glass vs cloth.
GAMER UNLOCKED TEAM’S TAKE
Who it’s for: Players who feel their mouse slides past the target when stopping and want more control, especially on fast cloth pads or on glass.
Who it’s not for: Players looking for the loosest glide possible, or who play on a plastic or coated pad. See the other mouse accessories.
Honest notes: The extra stopping power is noticeable. If you’re coming from regular PTFE, you may need a few days to adjust the strength of your flicks. As with any dot, clean the base well before applying and line the dots up so the mouse sits level.
