ATK Blazing Sky Ghost Ultimate+ Wireless Gaming Mouse – 8K Hz, PAW3955

ATK Blazing Sky Ghost Ultimate+ Wireless Gaming Mouse

Carbon fibre in a gaming mouse usually comes with a high price and little choice of shape. The ATK Blazing Sky Ghost Ultimate+ uses a hollow carbon fibre composite structure to stay at 48g, in a symmetrical shape for small to medium hands, with a PAW3955 sensor, 8000Hz and Bluetooth.

Carbon fibre in a symmetrical shape

The hollow carbon fibre composite shell is rigid and keeps the weight at 48 ± 3 g. It measures 121 × 61.3 × 38 mm, a symmetrical shape that works best for small to medium hands, in a claw or fingertip grip.

PAW3955 sensor and Nordic 54L15 MCU

The PAW3955 keeps tracking locked on the fastest flicks. The Nordic 54L15 MCU has a claimed latency of 0.181 ms and, with the GEM 8K receiver, the polling rate reaches 8000Hz (we explain when you notice it in the polling rate guide).

Three connection modes and battery life

It connects by cable, 2.4GHz or Bluetooth, so the same mouse works on the gaming PC and the laptop. The 300mAh battery is rated for up to 200 hours at 1000Hz.

Mechanical switches and Armory case

The ATK Lightblade switches are mechanical, with a crisper click than optical ones, and the scroll wheel uses a TTC Gold encoder. The white dual-layer skates come pre-applied and there are 16 spare dot skates.

The box also includes an Armory case with a carbon fibre texture, so you can carry the mouse without scratches.

GAMER UNLOCKED TEAM’S TAKE

Who it’s for: Small to medium hands that want a light carbon fibre mouse and need Bluetooth to use it away from the gaming PC too. The case is a useful extra if your mouse travels in a backpack.

Who it’s not for: For large hands, the shape falls short. If you want the double-click immunity of optical switches, look at other gaming mice.

Honest notes: Mechanical switches give a more defined click, but they don’t have the double-click resistance of optical ones. The 200 hours of battery are at 1000Hz; at 8000Hz you get less.
