WLMOUSE Huan Magnesium Alloy Gaming Mouse
Most ultra-light mice use plastic composites because metal is usually heavy and blocks wireless signal. The WLMOUSE Huan tries to solve both problems at once with a magnesium alloy shell.
Magnesium alloy: lighter than aluminum, stronger than steel
The brand describes the magnesium as lighter than aluminum, stronger than steel, and 10 times more corrosion-resistant, with a matte finish framed by high-gloss chamfered edges cut using a CNC diamond-cutting process (the same one used on the classic iPhone 5 and iPad mini). An independent review we consulted found an important nuance: the bottom of the mouse is plastic with cutouts, not solid magnesium across the whole surface as the brand’s “seamless shell” messaging might suggest. The top and sides are magnesium, the bottom isn’t.
PAW3950HS sensor and Nordic 54H20 MCU: native 8000Hz polling both ways
Custom Pixart PAW3950HS sensor, processed by a Nordic 54H20 MCU. The most relevant practical difference: 8000Hz polling is native both wired and wireless, unlike many mice where wireless mode caps at a lower polling rate. You don’t need to plug in the cable for peak performance.
Wireless signal through a metal shell
Metal usually attenuates wireless signal, a known problem for metal-shell mice. The brand states it solved this with a high-gain alloy antenna, tuned specifically for this enclosed chassis, to keep the connection stable even with the magnesium shell fully wrapping the mouse.
Omron switches and what independent reviews say about balance
The Omron optical switches are praised in reviews we consulted for a crisp, fast, responsive click feel. The same review reports two less positive notes: the weight balance skews toward the center-rear, which not every grip style will like, and the mouse is heavier (48g) than competing compact mice like the ATK or G-Wolves. It also reports double-clicking at the factory debounce setting (0ms) in some games, fixed by raising debounce to 2ms in software.
RGB scroll wheel lighting
Two LED strips frame the scroll wheel, with configurable color via software. It’s the only lighting on the mouse, no RGB elsewhere on the body.
Team opinion
The WLMOUSE Huan makes sense if you value metal construction and premium finish more than chasing the lowest possible weight, and want native 8000Hz polling without having to choose between wired or wireless.
It’s not the right call if you’re after the lowest weight in the category and the review report a weight balance not every grip will prefer.
Worth adjusting debounce to 2ms on first setup, to avoid double-clicking in some games at the factory default.
